Firewall

When I check off the Internet Connection Firewall under
Local Area Connection Properties in Windows XP, I get an
error that says "An error occurred while internet
connection sharing was being enabled. The dependency
service or group failed to start"

any suggestions

If you go to Start | Run | type "Services.msc", you can start/stop services
here as well as view their dependency services.
ICFdepends on:
Application Layer Gateway service
Network Connection
Network Location Awareness
Remote Access Connection Manager

One of those is probably stopped or failing to start and is causing ICF to
not start since it requires all those to be working.
