Firewall

I can not enable my firewall. I had to crash my system and reinstalled xp.
now when i try to enable my firewall the check boxes are solid. it said
something about group policy? HELPPPPPP!!!!!

XP Pro of XP Home or XP Media Edition ...???
Windows Firewall or another firewall ?
Did you format your hard drive prior to installing XP (this guarantees you
you have erased everything and the new installation is clean and fresh)
Is your Windows OS genuie ( this guarantees you no problems)
Did you checked your computer for virus and spyware with reputable
softwares, this is really important !

XP home, windows firewall, formatted, recovery disc that came with the dell,
yes ran virus and spyware.
