Firewall Ports

Where I work we have two seperate vlans for our wireless connection.
One is a protected that only faculty and staff uses and the other one
is a unprotected one that just lets students surf the internet. On
this VLAN it will not let Microsoft Update run. We are wondering what
ports that need open on our firewall so we can let students run
updates on their laptops. Any help would be appreciated.
