Downloaded and installed the Windows XP Pro 64Bit
Operating System. Cable internet connection works fine,
but in the Internet Connections, the tab where I should be
able to turn on(or off} the firewall is not there. I
therefore have to assume that there is no firewall in the
64Bit system. If anyone knows for sure one way or the
other I would appreciate the info. I am afraid to use the
64Bit system since with no firewall anyone could hack into
my computer. Checked with ZoneLabs and they do not have a
firewall compatable with the 64 bit system.

Do you have an MSDN subscription? That's the only legitimate source I
know of for downloading Windows XP Pro 64-Bit Edition.

On my 32-bit version, I just clicked Start | "Help and Support" and
looked at the topic "To enable or disable Internet Connection
Firewall". At the bottom of the page, it says that ICF isn't
available on Windows XP 64-Bit Edition.

Putting the system behind a router will do a comparable job.
