firewall help !!!

Hello
I set up home network between my desktopPC and a laptop, but
I can't turn on the Internet Connection Firewall function on WinXP Home on
thedesktop PC.
Every time I try to do that I got a message that says
"An error occurred while Internet connection Sharing was being enabled.
The dependency service or group failed to start."
Any help wellcome and highly appreciated

Hi George,
Control panel>admin tools>services. Right click on
Internet connection firewall select properties then
dependantcies,these services need to turned on as well,
more than likely
1.Application Layer Gateway Service
2.Network Connections
3.Network Location Awareness
4.Remote Access Connection Manager

You must open your services list to see what services
your Internet Connection Firewall depends on, commonly
they are: Application layer Gateway Service, Network
Connections, Network Location Awareness and Remote Access
Connection Manager.
If any of the services required by the firewall is not
set to start Automatically with windows you must enable
it to do so.
To start the Services panel: Start/Run/Services.msc
Look for Internet Connection Firewall, right click on it.
