I am signed on as the administrator but I am unable to disable the firewall.
In the settings the choices to turn "on" or "off" the firewall are faded and
will not allow me to selet off. How do I get access?

Maybe a group policy is setup to preclude this? Look at this KB article for help troubleshooting the
firewall including command line configuration and group policy information...

Uninstall the software that prevents it. Do you have AOL
installed?

Do you have some other security-related program installed? Zone
Alarm? Some other firewall? A network scanning antivirus
program? Anything called Norton, Symantec, or (arghh) McAfee?
