Firewall blocking my files

I used to share files with my friend using Apple's Limewire (by entering my
IP, he could access my Shared folder). But since 2 months, the firewall icon
appears at the bottom and when he tries to connect, it says my computer is
protected by a firewall.

Also, I use to share music downloaded with limewire with iTunes ( Shared
folder appears as a playlist) but now it tells me that the firewall is
blocking and that I should open port 52. Since these files are already in my
computer, how come the firewall is involved? What is port 52 and how do I
open it?

I tought ZoneAlarm's firewall was the problem so I uninstalled it and
started to use windows default firewall. The problem is still there, even if
I turn the firewall off.

I think zonealarm is the better choice for firewalls, so reinstall it and
turn off windows firewall and perm disable it. it appears you finally got
upgraded to svc pack 2, with the security center, you need to read up on
allowing others to access your pc from remote, I don't know the details,
actually I'm interested in this as well, as I have some family members who I
would like to share files with.
so off to read up..
