For those starting to use linux getting your head round a protocol based
firewall (like iptables) as opposed to Windows style application based
firewall (like Zone Alarm) can be daunting.

Firestarter is a great front end to iptables as dszady suggested. Another
one worth looking at is guarddog at

Thanks Gordan. I d/l guarddog but it has too many dependancies for me
right now. I had to take a step back to Firestarter 9.2. The new one was a
little crashy.
