Firefox 2.0 hooks some sites

Hello,

After I've istalled Firefox 2.0 I've mentioned that some links from the 3rd
party tools are opened in FireFox. For example all links from the GoogleTalk
are opened by FireFox.
I've checked up all the default settings, to be sure that IE is my default
browser but nothing changed.
Moreover, I've noted that .shtm, .xtm files extentions are aimed to the FireFox,
after reseting this nothing was chagned either.

Removing FF2.0 brind to that all links from the 3rd party tools doesn't eve
open, albeit if copy-paste this link to the command line - IE is opened.

What can be the reason of such problem and how to have the IE & FF 2.0 on
the same machine with IE as default

I get that same exact problem. Went in and manually changed all to IE, yet
AIM6.0 for example always goes to Firefox no matter what link I click in
AIM.

Just to confirm, I get the same behavior. Uninstalling firefox does not fix
the problem, it just causes Google talk (and others) not to open anything.
