I have noticed that Firebird 0.6.1 needs on my PC (P IV, 256 MB) :
- about 8 seconds to be launched for the first time in the current Win session,
- about 1.5 seconds when launched afterwards.

So is it possible to have Firebird's most part loaded in the RAM at windows startup, as for
example it is possible for OpenOffice (little icon in the systray) ? I haven't found any option in
Firebird setup to force this.

No.

This feature has currently been disabled in Firebird and will NOT be
reactivated. There was a topic in MozillaZine forums (www.mozillazine.org)
about this issue.
