"Finding site:" ???

When i browse to a web site (mymsn, for example), the status bar in IE says:
Finding site: my.msn.com
for about 10-15 seconds before finally loading the page. This happens with
every domain i browse to.

I have several machines using the same broadband connection via a switch,
but only this machine has the problem!

I'm running Winxp sp2 with the latest updates, IE 6, Qwest DSL with MSN as
my ISP. The connection speed itself seems fast enough once the site is
"found" - i can usually download at about 1 mbit.

What might be the cause of this delay when browsing to a site?

Joel,

That's probably a DNS problem. Start by comparing "ipconfig /all" on the
problem computer with the other computers. Read these articles:
