Finding lost passwords....

Karen

Hi! I need to find my passwords on this PC. I had them written down in a
MemoBook which has gotten lost somehow (the first time since 1997). Is
there any free programs to FIND my passwords? A Google brings up free ZIP
password finders but that doesn't seem to have anything to do with lost
passwords or finding them on your PC. :(

Thanks!

PassView v1.60 Protected Storage PassView is a small utility that
reveals the passwords stored on your computer by Internet Explorer,
Outlook Express and MSN Explorer. The passwords are revealed by reading
the information from the Protected Storage. Starting from version 1.60,
this utility reveals all AutoComplete strings stored in Internet
Explorer, not only the AutoComplete password, as in the previous
versions. This utility can show 4 types of passwords: Outlook passwords:
AutoComplete passwords in Internet Explorer: Password-protected sites in
Internet Explorer: MSN Explorer Passwords: 28Kb on my Security2 page or
here:
http://nirsoft.multiservers.com/utils/pspv.zip

PWLView Displays passwords for the currently logged in Windows user.
PwlView uses an undocumented API function to retrieve the currently
logged in user's cached passwords, including their Dial-Up Networking
user names and passwords. It is useful for recovering forgotten
passwords. I certainly can't think of any other uses, can you? 29Kb on
the same page, or here:

Try Protected Storage Explorer - I use it to recover lost Internet
Explorer, Outlook Express and Outlook passwords - it also finds
passwords for MSN and other services.

Its worth a shot.
