hi all,

i have copied data from one file to another and when i
open the new file i keep getting asked if i want to update
info from another worksheet (must've copied a formula
accross). how do i find the cell that is linked to an
outside file and change the formula?

thanks for any help,

luc

Go to Tools, Options, click the View tab and tick Formulas.

Then you can view all the formulas in the spreadsheet.
Look for a formula that contains either an exclamation
mark (!) (this points to another sheet in the existing
workbook, or contains a file name. Edit as required

that did the trick. thanks a lot.
