finding generic parts manufacturers

who make generic parts ?

i was having a read about the fingerprint scanner that becks linked to in the news, once i finshed i thought i'd take a look around the site, well i found this article on how to find out who made the generic parts in your PC thats if you have any

all you need is the FCC ID code of the part, then you can search the database to find out the make and model

There are loads of sites that search for FCC ID codes ... here is one of the independent .org sites ...

The problems can start when there is no code.
