Where can I find XP drivers for my 3DFX Voodoo Banshee that are compatible with Directx 9.0? Id appreciate help with this so that I can appreciate the new games that I can't play because my drivers for my video card don't have the right directx version. Directx 9.0 ain't all it's cracked up to be and I hate that u don't have the ability to uninstall it well anyways....Hope for a response ASAP Thanks!

Daniel;
You can try here:

Or it may be time to buy a newer card to replace that antique.
The manufacturer has been gone for years.

Hola
it is most likely time for you to buy a new one vid card. I personally like the gforce 5700 ultra and the ati 9600 xt card. I have one of each and both run the games I like verry nicely. You can also check out Tom's hardware at www.tomshardware.com has some good reviews on vid cards and their bench marks.

You can't play the new games because your "old" video card does NOT meat the
requirements of said games! Get a current card.

Earth to Daniel, Earth to Daniel, eh hello?! This is reality calling! Let's
pick a game at random, shall we? Say the quite brilliant Far Cry, a beast of
a FPS. Now, let's have a look at the system specs for said masterpiece,
beginning with the minimum requirements.

P3 1GHz, 256MB RAM and, what's this?! A *64MB* 3D card.

The recommended specs? P4 2-3GHz 512-1024MB RAM 128MB 3D card

Don't like FPS? Well how about Battlefield Vietnam, a RTS set in the Vietnam
war?

Min: 933MHz, 256MB, 64MB 3D card

Rec: 1-2GHz CPU, 512MB 128MB 3D card

Are you forming the appropriate mental picture yet? How about another? Maybe
you're more of a racer?

Colin McRae Rally '04

Needs: 1GHz, 256MB GF4 or better

Wants: 3GHz CPU, 512MB, 256MB Radeon 9800

Got the idea?!The fact you can't "appreciate the new games" has nothing
whatsoever to do with drivers and everything to do with the fact your card
is, to put no fine a point on it, shit.

It was a first generation AGP card (1x), had a maximum of 16MB - basically,
to use a totally crap analogy, you're trying to compete in a grand prix in a
clapped out '77 Austin Allegro!

Forget about drivers and think about upgrading the card. On second thoughts,
think about upgrading your entire system! If you using an eight year old
graphics card, how old is the rest of your system?!

That card will *NEVER* have DX9 support - *EVER*. Even the latest driver for
my 9800 Pro doesn't totally support it, so where you've got the notion yours
will, i've not the foggiest!
