Finding a document that was saved over

I need help! i'v got the microsoft Office 2007- and i accedently saved over a
really really important document! Is there a way to get it back?!?

It's probably too late to tell you this now, but if you click Office button >
Word Options > Advanced, scroll down to the Save section, and check the box for
"Always create backup copy", then there would be a file named "Backup of <file
name>.wbk" in the same folder as the document. That would be the document as it
was before the most recent save.

If you don't have that option checked and the backup file doesn't exist, then
there is no way to get back the old document from the disk. If you have a
printed copy, you could scan it and use optical character recognition to make a
Word document from that.
 
If it was a really, really important document, you should have had a backup.
If you don't then there is nothing that you can do short of spending mega,
mega bucks with the sort of data recovery specialists that provide such
services to the likes of the FBI/CIA.
