I had a workbook that I have used for years and this morning was working with
mulitple workbooks and mistakenly saved Doc #1 as Doc #2 and need to recover
the Doc #1.
Is this possible and if so how?
Thanks in advance.

Umm, based on what you typed. Your "Doc #1" is now called "Doc #2" and
the old "Doc #2" is no longer available. So you now have an old version
of "Doc #1" still in "Doc #1" and a new version of "Doc #1" in "Doc #2".
Hopefully you have a made a backup of the "Doc #2" in the case you
still need it.

One way to find "lost" files is to do a Windows Explorer search...look in
the same directory for a similar sized file, or search by date or
approximate filesize.....or maybe you or someone else emailed it somewhere
and a copy might be in their SEND mail...........or check with MIS for a
system backup copy

I hope this clarifies...
I accidentally hit the save as button on the #1 and so it saved as #2 and
the #2 doc came up with the name of #1 but has the #2 data. Confusing. I
screwed up...

Is there a way to go "back in time" today to get #1 back?

thanks. Greg

If you had Doc1 open and "saved as" Doc2 then Doc1 was not overwritten and will
be on your computer in the original folder you opened it from.

No need to "recover" it, just re-open.
