find which cell the #ref refers to

Excel 2003 Professional
I have a workbook with formulas that reference data in other workbooks.
Someone deletes a cell in the workbook with the referenced data. Now the
formula shows [workbookname.xls]Sheet1!#REF! Is there any way to show which
cell the formula originaly referenced?
Thanks,
Pat

I don't think so - have you got a working backup of the file you could refer
to?

Yes, but the files are so large that it would take hours to compare them.
