Find Record Afterupdate

I have a form that has demographics in it. The demographics are attached to
MedicalRecord which is my tables Primary Key.

Is it possible to have the user enter the medicalrecord they are searching
for in the Medicalrecord text box on my form and if that medical record is in
they database the matching demographics will appear if the medical record is
not in the database to go to a new record? I know it comes down to coding,
not sure how to write the code out.

If you'd like, you can use a combo box's search mode to do just that. As a
matter of fact, there is a wizard that will help you do it. Look at the 3rd
option in the combo box wizard.

I am already using a combo box to look up my items. My problem is when there
is a new record. How would I be able to add records to the combo box?

Use the NotInList event of the combo box. There should be some sample code
in the help file for the NotInList event. If not post back and I'll dig some
up if I can.
