if i have 20 worksheets in a workbook, how can i use find
to look through all sheets instead of going into each
sheet to search.#

Hi Mark,

(1) Click on the first sheet tab and then Shift-click on the last to
select all the sheets. Excel's Find will then traverse the whole workbook.
Make sure that you then ungroup the sheets ( right-Click any tab | Ungroup)
otherwise changes to one sheet will be reflected on the grouped sheets.

(2) Download Jan Karel Pieterse's excellent FlexFind add-in which is freely
available at:. This will do all that you ask and much more.
