Jezebel and Graham have told you how to use wildcards to replace two or more
spaces with a single space. You can also type two spaces in the "Find what"
box of Find and Replace and a single space in the "Replace with" box and
just keep running Replace All until no more replacements are made.

^w with a single space in one go.
