Final Fantasy XI

I put the cd in my compaq notebook and it can not read. i have tried it on
other computers and it has worked. what do i do?
 
Are you sure that CD isn't actually a DVD and it's just been luck you've
tried it on "other" DVD drives where-as the laptop is truly only a CD drive?
I mention only because I know that FFX for the PS2 was on a DVD and have
just assumed all since are also.
