Filtering diverse values

I'm trying to filter out diverse values in a column

Assume:
A1:A5 = Name1
A6:A10 = Name2
A11:A15 = Name3

I want to be able to automate a list that shows:

Name1
Name2
Name3

Not:

Name1
Name1
Name1
Name1
Name1
Name2
Name2
Name2
Name2
Name2
Name3
Name3
Name3
Name3
Name3

I have an idea of how to do this, but I want to make sure if I'm even
thinking in the right direction.

A formula-based solution:

In B1:
=A1

In B2 (*array formula*):

=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(0,COUNTIF($B$1:B1,$A$1:$A$100),0)),"",INDEX($A$1:$A
$100,MATCH(0,COUNTIF($B$1:B1,$A$1:$A$100),0)))

Copy down the formula in B2.
