filter?

I have a column that contains a bunch of repeating
information. what I would like is to somehow filter the
column so that only one of each topic appears.

for ex: printer is repeated 10 times, camera is repeated
20 times etc I want to somehow scan through the column and
only have one of each item shown. I need a quick way of
getting those items in that column only listed once.

any ideas...any help would be appreciated..

have a look at 'Data - Filter - Advanced Filter' and check 'Unique
values'
