The first place to look is in the applications themselves and turn off
the option to have them start automatically when Windows is started. If
you can't find the option within the program then you can set the
services to manual start in the Services Management Console, or you can
remove them from the registry start locations. Sysinternals' Autoruns
is a good comprehensive helper application that will help you find and
disable these startup entries, look for it on the Microsoft site. Be
careful with Autoruns, don't disable things that you are unsure of.
