Filter mode in excel 2007

Hi, help is needed. I am using spreadheet with filters. when I copies /
deletes rows based on a filtered criteria, excel copies/ deletes much more
row that it should, I doubt the filter mode is not working properly,
normally we should be able to see the indicator of filter mode in left bottom
side.

Appreicate if any comment on what might be the solution for it. thanks.

Hi,

What kind of filters are we talking about - Pivot Table, Table, AutoFilter,
Advanced Filter, Group and Outline, Subtotal?

When you say its deleting more more than it should, please explain. What
are you highlighting and what exactly happens - I highlight A2:C5 and use the
Home, Delete, Delete cells command and it deletes A1:R100?

I have had the same issue with the Autofilter in Excel. Example: I filter
on a specific value in a column and only rows with that value are displayed.
I attempt to highlight with background color and when the filter is removed
all rows between the first row filtered and the last are highlighted
including those not displayed when filtered; when I attempt copy and paste
those rows displayed in the filter all rows, including those not displayed in
the filter mode are pasted. Hope this is enough detail. Thanks for your
help!

After you have made your selection
Try using select special visible cells only
(on the home tab over on the right somewhere)

then do your copy paste now you should just get the visible items

Cheers
