Filmstrip holder for Canon FS2710

Hi.

I recently bought a Canon FS2710 film/slide scanner second hand, but it
is missing the filmstrip holder. Where could I obtain one?

I called, and they want $55 for it (plus shipping etc). That seems a
tad unreasonable for a glorified piece of plastic.

Am I being unreasonable?

I think it was $20 something for my scanner a year ago.
If you can't find one on Ebay for less, this is probably a better deal
than no negative holder at all!

Frankly, that price is not so out of line with other brands.

It won't help now, because they don't have Canon listed anymore, but B&H
has
several such film holders for film scanners at

No Canon there now (they used to when the scanners were available), but you
can see comparable prices now.

Such is life.
