Fillin fields

I have a template that I'm using and wanted to know if I can insert the
fillin field in certain places of the document. I don't want the fillin
question asked when the template opens but when I reach a certain point in
the document. For example, I type notes for newborn babies and in the
tempate there is certain info that is needed only for the admission note
(birthweight, gestational age, age of mother, method of delivery, etc). The
admit info is part of a drop down menu, and once you click "Delivery" and
tab, the admit info is all in one shaded box and you have to click and hit
the space bar to insert info needed for the admission. I'd like to be able to
type in the info needed on request. Can this be done?
