Hi

I am a new user to FrontPage 2002. I would like to create a fill-in form for my web site that can be emailed to me. I followed the instructions provided by the software and it works OK but the data confirmation that shows up on the screen when you press the "submit" button contains a lot of programming language that I would rather not see displayed to the site visitor and when the information is emailed to me, I have to read the data very carefully to extrapolate the information I want

Is there a way to just create a very simple form that can be filled out and emailed to me that would look just like a form you would print out, fill in and mail?

make a blank page that contains your theme or other site layout components.
type what you'd like to have as fixed text and use insert/ web component/
advanced/ confirmation field where you want to redisplay the information
your visitor submitted.

Chris's input will lead you in the direction on a custom
Confirmation Page (so called in Front Page parlance).
This confirmation page can be substituted for the
standard, ugly form that is created by the Front Page
Extensions that handle the form on your host computer.
This will improve things for the site visitor.

The email that comes to you will still be ugly unless you
want to jump into learning a program language to program
your own form handler. Probably not worth the effort
since you are the only one that will see it.

The "secret" on the email is to name the form fields (and
confirmation fields mentioned in Chris' reply) in a
meaningful manner so that reading the email will not be
such a chore. For instance, "Name" is more meaningful
than "N1" or some other "programming language" as you
termed it.
