several files have been installed in my computer from the
net.i believe they are spyware or adware files. i went to
add/remove, but it states 'access denied -disk full'.
how do i remove these files?
my spyware & virus protection programs didn't stop them.
how can i prevent this from happening again? i installed
the firewall, after the fact.
thank you

I highly recommend using Spybot Search and Destroy which can be downloaded
for free from www.safer-networking.org. It has an inoculate function that
blocks almost all adware and malware from getting to your system in the first
place. It will also prompt you if it finds files in use to run at startup to
try and clean them.

If that doesn't get them, boot in safe mode and run Spybot S&D again. If
there are still files in use you'll have to find out which product they are
and start searching the net for manual solutions. You might also try
downloading TrendMicro's sysclean utility from www.antivirus.com. Copy the
sysclean.com and the latest pattern file to a temp folder and run
sysclean.com after booting in safe mode.

Good Luck

Running the proper cleaners will remove most of all of the remnants. It
does take a combo at times, though. Ad-Aware, Spybot, CWShredder and
