Files sorted incorrectly

When ever I open C: drive, or a number of other folders
for that matter, files are sorted incorrectly. Some
folders are between files, while others appear above all
the files as they should. I tried searching for answers,
but came up with no results; please help.

Did you try clicking on the "Name" column to re-sort them after it opens?

Yes - and that's when they become sorted incorrectly.
