D Dave Peterson Sep 28, 2004 #2 Sometimes, it's as simple as cleaning up your windows temp folder. Close all open applications and don't be installing/removing programs... A quick way to get to the windows Temp folder: Windows start button|Run %temp% (and hit enter) And delete until you can't delete anymore! If this didn't work, Chip Pearson has documented some techniques to try when you're having trouble starting excel. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/StartupErrors.htm
