Files Not Found After Saved

Ok I put a post in earlier about an error message. I went back thru
everything again and this is the steps I am doing. I do my webpage, when I
am done with the page I go and do save as. I save and save as my page name
and html. Then when I go into frontpage and open the file it opens then says
no files found. Then I get the error message that says Unrecognized Windows
Exception (0xc000001d). I don't know what is going on. Anyone ever have
that?

Thanks a bunch I am desperate to get this fixed!

Are you opening a web / site in FP first, then your page?

How are you opening the site in FrontPage? Are you opening it from your web
host or from your local hard drive? What steps are you using?

I am trying to open the site in Fpage. From my local harddrive. I have not
uploaded it to my host yet. I still have more things to do before I upload
it to my web host. I was opening up frontpage then going to File then Open
then picking the html file and clicking on it to open it up.

Thanks Bobbie

Hey David,

I have an error that keeps coming up and saying Frontpage needs to close. I
went and read the error report and I went and reinstalled it, but that still
is not working. Will that link help me fix whatever it is going on? I
suppose something maybe wrong with my disk and they are the original disk. I
am dumbfounded.

Any help is appreciated a great deal!

Try the program (it's free) and see if it helps. You can also try a program
called CCleaner that will get rid of other Windows problems, leftover
registry junk etc. It's also free. See www.ccleaner.com

That is the wrong way to open a web page.

In your previous thread, Steve Easton pointed out that you have to
create a website before you open a page. A website can exist on a
server, or on your own hard disc.
To open a page, first open the website using File->Open Web and browse
to the folder where your web pages are located.
When the website is open, you can open the pages for editing.

Have you looked for the pages in Windows Explorer? And if so, did you
find them?
