Files don't show over network

From one Vista (SP1) to another Vista (SP1). I have some files on the
remote computer under Public\..., but they don't all show up. I go to
the remote computer, they're all there. I go back to my local Vista
computer and look over the network to my remote Vista computer, it says
the directory is empty. But I know the directory is NOT empty. Why can't
I see my files? I check file attributes, nothing unusual, not hidden,
not read-only, just plain ordinary files. Why can't I see them over the
network?

I am having a similar problem. 99% of the files are visible.
However, 2 files are missing (just happens to be a file I have an
excel connection with). If I go to a virtual machine under the same
login and password the files are visible! Totally frustrated.
