Thankyou , I have been looking at some sites and have found some very
interesting results .
Until now I have been thinking the harddrive has failed making the clicking
noise , but after doing some reading I think maybe it is a sort of virus
which has never been picked up by Norton Antivirus 2004 or Adaware or Spybot .
Each time the CheckDisk recovers the system that I have hoped DiskCheck will
solve the problem of clicking it has deleted a file $130 and this latest
occasion 22504-22507 .
Most times I want to use my computer again after harddrive clicking begins
I have to disconnect all the cables and memory and remove the battery and
everything else that I can disconnect and leave the computer like that for
at least a day and reconnecting everything for it to start .
The first signs of trouble are a sound similar to a arcing in the
harddrive I think , as though the computer is shorting or sometimes the
harddrive begins to click , sometimes continually but it has managed to
start and go for at least a day sometimes 3 months without these symptoms
after I use the disconnection method .
What do you think , because I have begun to think that the problem is not
the electricity after all , but a type of virus .
And at one time I reported all my computer software stolen but the next
week it all showed exactly where I had found it all missing from and I am
convinced that was not my imagination playing tricks on me ! I daren't think
about total corruption and the salespeople and a Microsoft technician all
played the missing software down , probably because it all returned totally
mysteriously .
.......time for lunch !!
I am hoping to solve the problem of having to disconnect for a day
