filenotes works great with XP.

Well, Minou, it says specifically that it works up to W98 and at least with
_my_ XPHome it does'nt work.
But you might be thinking of the commercial version? We're in a freeware
group, so I did'nt specify.

I am on Win XP Pro.
I just downloaded it from http://www.moonsoftware.com/
Installed it and it is working just fine.
The site stated that it is freeware.

You may have an old version.

I have been using it on XP Pro, both at home and at work, for
the last three years and have never had a problem with it.

This freeware version of FileNotes is crippled in that it allows only notes
to files on C:\.
Poor me: my program files are (mostly) on D:\.
End of story for me!?
