I have been trying to run the Sobigfix, but I keep
getting hung up and the program stops and wants me to
send an error message to MS. I have finally located the
file where it is hanging up. It is in my Internet
Explorer Favorite file. I have tried to delete it and to
move it and neither will work. I tried this in safe mode
as the administrater and that did not work.
The Error Message says: Cannot delete HOMEIM(tilda).url:
make sure you specify the correct path and file name.I can
not tell what kind of file it is, but it was an decorating
site.
The icon beside it does not look like the others and I am
not sure just what kind of icon it is for. Can anyone
tell me how to get rid of it, so maybe I can continue on
with my virus program? Thank you.

Just a few suggestions - don't know it they'll work or not, but it's
worth a shot:
1. Try running enditall and see if it kills a process that may be
hanging up the process. http://www.bootdisk.com/donate$3.htm go to
the enditall link.
2. Try booting to an interim Operating System like Knoppix STD and
navigate to the favorites directory and delete that file.
http://www.knoppix-std.org/ If your filesystem is Fat32 you can do
that from a Win98 startup disk with a few DOS commands...

Let me know if you find a solution!
