File upload component error message

M

Mike

I am receiving this error when trying to upload images to
my website:

Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page:

I have the permissions I need on the folder which the
upload component is trying to send the images to. This is
a critical problem as my client needs to upload project
information today.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you verified that FrontPage extensions are properly installed on the server.

does the host support this component - they may not necessarily allow users to
upload files at all.

It's my server. I have the latest FPSE extensions and
have the user account that has WRITE permissions to that
folder. It should be working fine.

Any ideas?

what I mean is if you intend to allow your web site users to upload files - the
host may not allow this since the FP upload component has no control over the
types of files. Restrictions can be placed on the server extensions - the host
can decide which features to enable or not.
