File Transfer Wizard Problem

PR Pendleton

I am trying to transfer files and settings from my old box (Windows ME ) to
the new XP Home machine. The Transfer Wizard worked on the new box and a
floppy was written. The floppy ( and a second to check up ) worked as far
as selecting the material but will not burn to my cd drive ( I have Nero
software) presumably because it cannot identify a burning programme. Nor
will it identify the USB connection.

The USB cross over connection with its supplied USB software (" ARCHEON
YC-100D File-Transfer Cable is a windows-based application for transferring
files. You can connect your PC to another PC with ARCHEON YC-100D
File-Transfer Cable.....") is, seemingly, unable to set up the connection
on the ME box - it is established on the XP machine...............").

It must be down to me!!! What haven't I done that I should have done. Can
anyone help please.
