hi
right well i bought a second hard drive and wanted to transfer all the
settings and files to it. Rather than copy and paste them seen the transfer
wisard and used it.

It collected all the data and compressed it into 2 huge files and a status
file. These files have the extention
".dat"

The problem is it only transfered a tiny anount of the files and left the
rest compressed. The "my documents" files now reads empty and im denied
access. I cant access the ".dat" files either

Can anyone tell me how to recover these files?
Yours hopefully
