File Tab Won't Work

I have Word 2000. The file tab in the upper left corner stopped working. When
I click on it, it appears depressed but nothing drops down, such as print,
page set up etc. The rest of the tabs work fine.
I don't know what caused this. More important is how do I get it to work
again.

Could be a registry problem. Try deleting the Toolbars value in
the Word data key as described in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm .
