File Synchronization in a Peer-to-Peer Network

C

Cliff

I have three computers in a peer-to-peer network. I'd
like to be able to set the network up such that any time I
create a new file or modify an existing file in a given
folder on one of the three computers, it is automatically
saved in the same folder on the other two computers,
either at the same time it is saved on the original
computer or later on by way of file synchronization.

Does anyone know how to do this using file synchronization
or some other technique? If so, please do let me know
how. If anyone knows that it is not possible, I'd
appreciate knowing that also.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance anyone can
provide.

Why not just share the file or folder? This way you don't have three working
copies that anyone could change at the same time as possibly one person
could lose work/info. The most efficient way would be to share it. Now all
computers have access to it all the time and it is always the most current
copy. Especially since your on a network, this is one of the main purposes
of having a network, to share files.
