how do i cancel or interrupt transmitting a file?

it seems as though the file may be too large to transmit, though outlook's
outbox will not let me open nor delete it - says it's already begun
transmitting...
it's bogging down my outbox AND my inbox

also - is there a max file size that outlook can handle sending/receiving?

In addition to Mary also see;

"is there a max file size that outlook can handle sending/receiving?"
Nope, you are limited by your ISP
