File Specification

Hello all,

I am using access 97. For some reason I am unable to create/save a file
specification when I am importing a file. I have also tried to save as on a
table, but it still never gives me the option. This use to work in this db,
but something has disabled this feature.

Does anyone know what could cause me to lose this function, or know of a
work around?

It is an Excel file text and numbers

What sort of file are you importing?

Import/export specifications are a feature of the text import/export
facilities. They're not available when working with Excel workbooks.
