No - I'm pretty sure there isn't a "solution" to this as I think it's
done on purpose to keep the integrity of an Alphabetically arranged
list.
However, if you want to have the files arranged in a specific order -
Right-click on each file and choose 'Properties' to bring up the file's
property page.
Then click on the 'Summary' tab along the top.
Then fill in the 'Comments' box with either an alphabetical or numerical
code. i.e. :
AAAA
....then, in the next file you want to appear in the list - fill in :
AAAB
....finally, right-click on the detailed view columns and select
'Comments' to show the 'Comments' column.
Click on the 'Comments' column to arrange in the way you have specified!
Or, batch-rename all the files replacing the 0s with As, :
ren 000*.jpg AAA*.jpg
ren AAA0*.jpg AAAA.jpg
ren AAAA0*.jpg AAAAA*.jpg
ren AAAAA0*.jpg AAAAAA*.jpg
I'm very sorry, apart from these, I don't know any other ways to do
this - but these do work.
