file slack obliterator

John Bischoff

Is there a currently available freeware item that will obliterate the data in
the free space of a disk drive, in the slack at the ends of files in a disk
drive, and in the swap file ? Military 7-pass or whatever you wish.
I have a copy of the 1998 freeware version of Jetico's BCWipe, and it works
nicely, but maybe there is something better/faster?
If anyone would like a copy of that old BCWipe freeware, I will be pleased to
furnish a copy for your pleasure, archiving, etc..
Best regards
John

Try Eraser:

It can clean up free space, and I have it set to wipe my swap file when
I shutdown my computer. You have a choice of 4 different algorithms to
erase with (including the Military 7-pass).

Good recommends. I have Eraser too, also have BC Wipe back when it was free.
Have to admit BC Wipe is slow and I usually only do 1 pass. ;)
