What setting needs changing to display the file size in bytes?

TIA

In cmd or in explorer or in Microsoft word? specify better please.

In cmd/power shell you can see the bytes with:
dir /c

In explorer.exe you can right click on a file and take properties and get in
bytes. To get in kbytes you just need to show details view and make sure the
default column size is set.

Sorry for being ambiguous.

Just want to know how to set explorer to display the file sizes in
bytes, not kilobytes, in the details column.

Thanks
Sterno
