File Sizes too big

Is there a way to reduce the file size? I have been just
adding sheets and the size of my file is up to 5mb which
is too big. I think it is storing my macros in the file
and this is effecting the size. I have been trying to
figure out how to reduce the size. I have not even begun
to format the file.

Any help would be appreciated. I have to send this file
to people and when I did it was 11mb which is huge to
send via email.

if you have a lot of calculations, excel will make the file larger.
meaning, if you are adding sheets repeatedly, and there are a lot o
calculations or excel has to *think* often, the file size will gro
considerably.

if you have a very dynamic workbook with many extremely dynamic sheets
you may want to think about seperating your sheets to differen
workbooks. are any stand alone sheets?

i also have to email workbooks, on a weekly basis. but the end-use
only needs to see a couple of sheets. i'll export (copy) the sheet(s
to a temporary workbook, email it, and delete it. all in the name o
size and space.

just a thought. sorry if i misread.

Reduce the used ranged:

Do this and then save. If you immediately WinZip the file, you'll find
it a lot smaller than before.
