File Size- Video Quality

Does this make sense? I created a video primarily with photos (size 2272 x
1704). When I just save to my computer the video quality is much better
than when saved to send as an email or save to the web. Why is this? But,
the size of the file is very big? My quesiton, what is the best way to save
videos to keep a good quality but not have the biggest file size. Any help
help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Unless you spend £100,000's on a encoder similar to that which holloywood
use, that do in excess of 25 passes I'm afraid size is proportionate to
quality, bigger file size better quality.
