File Sharing

I have two laptops I use at work and at home, both using
XP professional OS. At work I have a server-client,
domain type network, both wireless and hard wired, to
which the two laptops are client computers. The domain
controller at work, a server computer, acts as both DHCP
server and provides active directory. For the wireless
component of the network at work, I have an access point
connected to a firewall router. Everything works fine at
work in terms of internet access and file sharing between
the two laptop computers and the other client computers.

At home I have a combination router/access point box.
Both laptops can get on the internet with no problem,
even when wireless. However, when I try to file share, I
am unable to do so when both computers are wireless. If
I attach a ethernet cable to one of the laptops from the
router/access point, I can then acces the shared folders
on the wired laptop from the wireless laptop. I cannot,
however, access the shared files on the wireless laptop
from the wired laptop.

At home when both laptops are wireless and I go to My
Network Places > Entire Network (under Other Places) >
Microsoft Windows Network > here appears my bios
workplace domain name > both laptop compute names with
icons appear > double clicking on the icon of the other
laptop's computer name brings up an authentication
window; I put in the username and password > the
following error message appears: \\Computer Name is not
accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this
server to find out if you have access permissions. There
are currently no logon services available to service the
logon request.

I don't think this is a permissions problem since this
laptop can access the shared folders at work and can
access the shared folders at home if the other laptop is
hard wired to the router/access point. It seems to me
that the problem lies in the last sentence of the error
message: There are currently no logon services available
to service the logon request. How can I get this to work?

Have You checked the IP-address regions in different situations:
air/air air/wired wired/wired. Jus in case it happens that in home your
wireless
router might give addresses in different regions....

This isn't the problem because when wired the computer
obtains an IP from the router that is 192.168.1.101 and
when wireless, 192.168.1.100. The other computer's IP
address is 192.168.1.
